We are currently seeking Trustees to join our Board and are particularly interested in individuals with experience in accounts, fundraising or local business.

In this pivotal role, you will help shape the future of our growing organisation, contributing directly to the fight against modern slavery. By guiding our efforts to protect and support victims of exploitation, you will help ensure they receive the care and resources needed to rebuild their lives and regain their independence. Your professional expertise - whether in accounting, funding, or community engagement - will play a crucial role in strengthening our operations. From securing essential resources and managing finances to building meaningful connections with local businesses and communities, your contributions will be vital to our continued growth and success. We are committed to supporting you in this journey, providing full training and guidance, so no prior experience as a trustee is necessary.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role, and who will help broaden the diversity of thinking on our Board. No prior Trustee experience is necessary – we will provide a comprehensive induction and training. Personal Attributes Integrity, objectivity, and a commitment to ethical practice. Collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively with other Board members, staff, and external stakeholders. Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, changing environment. What will you be doing?
Duties for Trustee with Accounts Experience Attend and contribute to Board meetings, providing financial insights and guidance. Provide strategic input into the charity’s financial reporting, ensuring financial statements are accurate, clear, and in compliance with charity accounting standards. Duties for Trustee with Fundraising Experience Advise on and support the development of fundraising strategies, helping to identify new income streams and diversify fundraising efforts. Review and assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and initiatives, providing suggestions for improvement and growth. Duties for Trustee with local Business Experience Attend and contribute to Board meetings, offering guidance on business operations, development strategies, and organisational growth. Support the Board in developing and implementing strategies to engage the corporate sector and build business partnerships. Please see the attached candidate pack for more details.
