Based on a hybrid basis from our office in Birmingham this is a 6 month FTC role where you will support the production of accurate data information to generate business insights that helps to make informed and nuanced decisions. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data, performs ad hoc and routine data audits. Identifies data gaps and quality issues, collaborates and partners with relevant stakeholders to rectify and resolve.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Analysing and interpreting HR data to support management decision-making and improve overall efficiency and performance.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data, performs ad hoc routine data audits.
  • Partnering with HR stakeholders, responds to ad hoc requests for HR data and builds operational and management reports.
  • Collecting, compiling, and analysing HR data and metrics to support management decision-making.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining HR reports and dashboards to track key HR metrics.
  • Conducting statistical analyses to understand relationships between various HR activities and organizational outcomes.
  • Identifying trends, patterns, and inconsistencies in HR data.
  • Collaborating with HR and management teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
  • Conducting audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data.
  • Using data visualization tools to present HR data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Making recommendations to improve HR policies and procedures based on data findings.
  • Complying with data privacy and protection guidelines.
  • Providing data literacy training to HR teams (e.g. excel, PowerBI)
  • Creating process guides for building reports.
  • Maintaining data governance documents (e.g. report catalogues, data definitions).
  • Providing data to external stakeholders (e.g. ONS).

You’ll Need To Have

  • Prior experience in a HR Data Analyst role.
  • Able to extract and manipulate data sets and analyse and present data that provides insight using story-telling and visual design techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Able to work with and without integrated systems and extract and consolidate data from multiple sources.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to prioritise activities with minimal supervision. Creative and able to present rationale to others.
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, complex IF statements, array formulas, pivot tables and conditional formatting.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently yet open and collaborative.
  • Able to manage business expectations, prioritise work, communicate progress and deliver to promise.

You’ll Also Have

  • Technology skills with business intelligence and data analytics tools. Specifically: Oracle BI Publisher, Microsoft Power BI, Excel.
  • Technology skills with enterprise software applications used in the HR Domain. Specifically: Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM including Oracle BI tools, Oracle Taleo.
  • Familiarity with the HR domains such as policies and processes, statutory and regulatory requirements etc.
  • Experienced and comfortable working at senior levels, managing changing priorities and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Methodical and organised, able to anticipate, prioritise and overcome problems.
  • Delivers to agreed deadlines, effectively handles multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Collaborates and networks, seen as trusted, genuine and credible.
  • Maintains a calm and considered approach in challenging situations
  • Takes pride in creating high-quality deliverables. Seeks to continuously improve processes.
