A look into the role
As AM within our Trusts Tax team you will:
You will have a working knowledge of Trusts Tax and will have experience of managing a small client portfolio. We’re always on hand to offer support and guidance and are looking for colleagues who are invested in their professional and personal development.
Joining us as a AM , the minimum criteria you’ll need is a professional qualification (ATT) with post qualification experience, and to be confident managing a portfolio clients.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

A look into the role
As AM within our Trusts Tax team you will:
- Be afforded the opportunity to manage your own interesting portfolio of varied trust clients with the support of an outstanding management team. You'll be trusted to work effectively and any ideas for improvements to service will be listened to by senior management.
- Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations and support in this delivery.
- Be actively involved in client meetings, concisely and confidently answering client queries.
- Be involved in supporting senior management in producing high quality tax advice accurately, delivering on expectations and deadlines.
- Have an opportunity to join a large and high performing team within Grant Thornton. We're looking for individuals who are prepared to grow their internal network as you will have the opportunity to work with the wider Tax teams together with the wider GT network.

- Trust and / or Private Client advisory experience (including advice on potential changes to Trusts, tax efficient trust payments and Inheritance Tax planning).
- A working knowledge of both onshore and offshore trusts
- Experience with a varied portfolio of trust clients.
