Are you passionate about elite sports performance and injury rehabilitation? Birmingham City FC is looking for a Sports Therapist to join our multidisciplinary medical team to work with the U21's team and others when required.
As a vital member of our club's medical department, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and pitch-side care to our players throughout the season, pre-season, and off-season. You’ll be working closely with coaches, medical professionals, and players to ensure peak performance and recovery.
Please note, this role requires weekend working to follow the football schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, and pitch-side emergency care to players across all competitive and training activities.
- Deliver high-level clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatments of musculoskeletal issues.
- Maintain comprehensive, confidential medical records in line with professional standards.
- Collaborate with coaching, medical, and support staff to ensure integrated player care.
- Support and contribute to the development of the team’s Mental Health Pathway.
- Supervise casual clinicians and ensure continuity of care across all age groups.
- Ensure compliance with all Club policies, Health and Safety, and data protection regulations
What are we looking for from you?
- BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Therapy or a related field. (Essential)
- ITMMIF qualification (Or working towards)
- Membership of BASRaT and/or Society of Sports Therapists. (Essential)
- Valid medical indemnity insurance to treat/advice WSL & WC players. (Essential)
- Valid DBS once starting the role
