Water Hygience Technical Account Manager Company

Our client is a trusted leader in water hygiene and water treatment services, specialising in Legionella risk management, consultancy, and compliance. With a reputation for excellence across public and private sectors, they offer end-to-end water treatment solutions, including monitoring, assessments, and remedial works.

As the company continues to expand, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Water Compliance Technical Account Manager to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Technical Account Manager, you will combine hands-on water hygiene service delivery with client relationship management to maintain compliance and grow accounts. This dual role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in the field as well as developing business through strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out water hygiene services on-site (e.g., monitoring, sampling, flushing).

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients.

  • Ensure compliance with ACoP L8 and other regulatory standards.

  • Conduct annual client audits and site assessments.

  • Prepare and present technical reports, quotations, and documentation.

  • Handle inbound sales enquiries and generate new business opportunities.

  • Support marketing and client outreach campaigns.

  • Provide expert advice and resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain electronic logbooks and handle sample reports.

  • Manage non-conformances and follow-up actions.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Water Hygiene / Legionella Control.

  • Experience in a customer-facing or account management role.

  • Strong understanding of Legionella Risk Assessments and control measures.

  • Proven B2B sales experience is highly desirable.

  • Health & safety knowledge (especially water safety compliance).

  • Ability to produce quotes, manage budgets, and understand job costing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems.

  • Full UK driving licence (role may involve travel).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in Business, Sciences, Engineering, or Health & Safety.

  • Legionella Awareness / Risk Assessment qualifications.

  • IOSH / NEBOSH certification (advantageous but not essential).
