Job Title: Associate Landscape Architect

Location: Birmingham

Reference Number: LA250404

Salary: £55,000–£70,000

About the Company

This fast-growing UK planning and design consultancy is known for its strong technical expertise, commercial focus, and high-impact work across the residential and energy sectors. With a clear ambition to double in size over the next 3–5 years, the business offers an exciting platform for ambitious professionals to step into leadership roles and shape the next phase of growth.

The landscape team is integral to the consultancy’s multidisciplinary offer, delivering strategic planning advice, LVIAs, and evidence-based design guidance. Their work supports some of the UK’s most complex planning projects, blending landscape sensitivity with practical commercial outcomes.

With a collaborative culture, flexible working options, and a strong emphasis on progression, this is an ideal environment for established consultants who want to make a tangible impact.

About the Role

This is a senior-level opportunity for a confident and commercially minded Associate Landscape Architect to lead and deliver complex landscape planning projects, while mentoring more junior colleagues and helping to shape the growth of the regional team.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality LVIA work, strategic landscape advice, and planning support—primarily within the residential and energy sectors. You’ll also play an active role in business development, client relationship management, and supporting the broader strategic aims of the business.

With the company’s ambitious growth plans, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role with real influence, progression potential, and access to a wide and varied project portfolio.

About You

  • You’ll be an experienced Chartered Landscape Architect with a strong track record in landscape planning and LVIA.

  • Significant experience in a consultancy setting, ideally working on residential, energy, or large-scale strategic development projects.

  • You have proven experience managing projects, building client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

  • You combine technical rigour with commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

  • Confident working independently, but collaborative and supportive as a team leader.

This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their consultancy career, within a business that rewards leadership, innovation, and delivery.
