The Role
As a Vehicle Paint Technician at our Birmingham Express bodyshop, you’ll work on a range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. You’ll be responsible for delivering top-quality paintwork, from preparation to final finish.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Prepping vehicles: cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces

Mixing and matching paint to achieve an exact colour match
-
Applying paint using spray guns and managing the spray booth
-
Ensuring all finishes meet quality control standards
-
Working collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines
-
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
About You
We’re looking for a candidate who brings experience, precision, and pride in their work.
You Will Have:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Paint or Prep Technician

Strong knowledge of modern painting techniques and materials
-
Confidence using paint mixing systems and spraying equipment
-
A background in the accident repair sector
-
Great attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Strong teamwork and communication skills
-
ATA/NVQ qualifications preferred — with support available for renewal
