The Role

As a Vehicle Paint Technician at our Birmingham Express bodyshop, you’ll work on a range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. You’ll be responsible for delivering top-quality paintwork, from preparation to final finish.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Prepping vehicles: cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces

• Mixing and matching paint to achieve an exact colour match

• Applying paint using spray guns and managing the spray booth

• Ensuring all finishes meet quality control standards

• Working collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

About You

We’re looking for a candidate who brings experience, precision, and pride in their work.

You Will Have:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Paint or Prep Technician

• Strong knowledge of modern painting techniques and materials

• Confidence using paint mixing systems and spraying equipment

• A background in the accident repair sector

• Great attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• ATA/NVQ qualifications preferred — with support available for renewal
