Mechanical Fitter and Boiler Engineer
Based in Birmingham – 3 Month temporary contract
Monday to Fridays Day Shift
£28 Per Hour LTD
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter and Boiler Engineer will involve the following
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on facility systems, including boilers, pumps, and HVAC equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components to ensure operational efficiency
Conduct fitting and installation work on plant equipment and infrastructure
Support general facilities upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Inspect, test, and maintain site utilities, including water, compressed air, and heating systems
Collaborate with other teams to address cross-functional maintenance needs
Undertake welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support installations and repairs
Equipment and Systems to be worked on:
Boilers, water pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and plant machinery such as conveyors, mixers, and other mechanical infrastructure
Qualifications and Skills Required:
BOAS or recognised Boiler Qualification
A recognized Mechanical Qualification is essential
Proven experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical fitting in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with boiler operation and pump maintenance is highly desirable
Basic welding and fabrication skills are advantageous
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
