We are seeking an knowledgeable yet approachable candidate with Childcare management experience. This role will see you leading and managing a team of childcare professionals in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment whilst Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

The Role
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children’s needs
Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in the setting
Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and incident reports
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s development
Tutor Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and inclusive training sessions to learners in childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Early Years Educator, Residential Childcare)
Support learners through their qualification journey, including assessments, observations, and portfolio development
Ensure training content aligns with current legislation, EYFS framework, and best practices
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to learners
Maintain learner records and track progress in line with awarding body requirements
Person Specification:
Essential:
Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare or Early Years or Degree in a relevant subject
DBS and on update service
Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1) or willingness to work towards one
Experience managing a childcare setting or residential children’s home
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and EYFS
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent)
Experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training
Knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and quality assurance processes
