Rubicon's client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Continuous Improvement Engineering team. This world leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of complete weighing and packing line solutions is dedicated to investing in their people and maintaining high standards. You will be reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager and supporting the daily functions of the business, ensuring smooth transitions of change and optimising both efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.

As Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying Lean methodologies to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency
  • Instructing, coaching, and developing team members in the application of Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Creating and implementing action plans for process improvement in support of business objectives
  • Leading and managing CI projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable impact
  • Ensuring all operational processes adhere to quality standards
  • Leading Kaizen initiatives throughout the business, promoting a culture of continuous improvement

As Manufacturing Engineer, your experience will include:

  • Proven ability to identify waste and inefficiencies
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and project management abilities
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, flexibility and willingness to learn and develop
  • Consistent achievement of ‘Right First Time’ performance against cost and time scale targets
  • Previous experience in continuous improvement and a good understanding of engineering principles
