A welcoming and inclusive school in Central Birmingham (B4) is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 from September. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school is known for its strong focus on mental health and positive behaviour support. This opportunity has become available due to a staff member beginning long-term sickness leave, and the role is ideal for a graduate looking to build experience in education.
You’ll work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to support pupils with SEMH and learning needs through 1:1 interventions, small groups, and classroom support. The role offers valuable exposure to safeguarding, SEND strategy, and evidence-based interventions.

Requirements
- Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for mental health, behaviour, and inclusive education

- Long-term role supporting a range of pupil needs
- Weekly mentoring with the SENCO and CPD in behaviour support
