Mainstay Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading private healthcare provider to recruit an Engineering Technician for their modern hospital facility in Droitwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation that delivers outstanding patient care and performs complex procedures within a supportive and well-equipped engineering department. If youre a qualified engineer with a mechanical or electrical background, and looking for a rewarding role with genuine long-term potential, this could be the ideal next step.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive issues across the hospital site

  • Provide expert support for breakdowns and technical faults

  • Mentor and support on-site Technicians and Engineering Assistants

  • Offer technical advice to local hospital management when required

  • Promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

  • Maintain high levels of workmanship and contribute to a strong team culture



Requirements:


  • NVQ Level 3, ONC or City & Guilds Part 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Completed a time-served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline

  • Valid CSCS or ECS card (depending on trade discipline)

  • Willingness to act as Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medgas

  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and ACOPs, including L8 (Legionella)

  • Confident in fault finding and interpreting technical drawings

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
