Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs? A Birmingham-based SEND school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team, working with pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with Autism, ADHD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties in a nurturing and well-resourced setting.
You will work closely with class teachers and other Teaching Assistants to provide 1-2-1 and small group support, helping children with additional needs to engage in their learning and develop key social and academic skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting and be confident in managing behaviours calmly and consistently. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential for this role.
Job Role:
- Supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and MLD across Key Stage 3 & 4
- Delivering targeted interventions and academic support in small groups
- Building positive relationships and supporting emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt learning resources
- Promoting pupil independence and engagement in lessons
