Approx. £116,000 (£448pd PAYE) | Belfast (Hybrid)


This role sits within the Markets Front Office and is a key part of the in-business Risk & Control team, responsible for implementing specific controls within the broader Markets Preventive Booking Control Framework. It represents an exciting opportunity for a practically minded, experienced professional with deep knowledge of traded products and a clear understanding of Front Office preventative control practices. The team has global coverage across all Markets businesses, and works closely with various risk and technology functions.


Key Responsibilitie



  • Investigate and analyse data and process flows to assess the availability, meaning, and suitability of data for trade booking controls

  • Define business requirements for reporting and metrics that support ongoing control review

  • Collaborate with Sales/Trading, Technology, Operations, and other functional stakeholders

  • Conduct testing to ensure delivered functionality meets business needs

  • Provide quality assurance and monitor control performance through data analysis

  • Partner with Business and Technology teams to track and resolve defects

  • Meet deliverables and task deadlines within target timeframes

  • Embed new monitoring tools into Manager Control Assessments (MCA)

  • Generate MI reports to demonstrate control performance and effectiveness

  • Work with Audit and other control functions to investigate failures and drive enhancements

  • Maintain up-to-date procedure guides for reporting and data analysis tasks


Key Skills Required



  • Relevant industry experience in Markets or ICG (e.g. in-business management, operational risk, middle office, technology, product control, or other control functions)

  • Subject matter expertise in Markets traded products and associated control principles

  • Experience in controls-related change projects and technology implementation, including requirements writing and oversight

  • Strong collaboration skills across businesses, regions, and support functions

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with a Risk & Controls mindset

  • Excellent communication skills, including stakeholder engagement at senior levels

  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced) and strong database analysis/management capabilities

  • Familiarity with Python and/or data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) is an advantage

  • Strong skills in Word and PowerPoint


Preferred Skills



  • Product knowledge gained in Front Office, Booking Controls, or Risk & Control functions

  • Experience analysing large datasets and building reports using Advanced Excel, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools

  • Solid understanding of Markets products
