Wychall Lane Surgery is a GP Practice operating out of one site in South Birmingham. It is a very successful practice offering a range of services to a population of approximately 8,000 people. We are seeking an experienced Business Manager/Practice Manager to lead our team. Our aim is to provide the highest possible standard of patient care and support, and we would like an individual to work alongside our 6 Partners to achieve this aim. We are part of Our Health Partnership, the UK's biggest GP Partnership. The person we are looking for will have significant experience at a senior level and be able to show successful strategic insight and evidence of working alongside senior colleagues.
Our Practice is looking to strengthen our team to work alongside our Partners and work with our current clinical and admin teams. If you are an efficient and effective manager we would love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
In conjunction with the GP Partners, to manage and coordinate all aspects of managing the practice, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, ensuring the practice is compliant with all NHSE and CQC regulations and achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
Main Duties of the Job
The main duties are:
- To support a culture that is focused on the delivery of very high standards of patient care.
- To ensure that the Practice is always delivering to the highest standard, always ready for CQC.
- To ensure the profitability and efficiency of the Practice, in line with NHS and legislative guidelines.
- To provide strategic input to the practice to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service at all times whilst maximising profitability.
- Liaison with the wider Health Partners (ICS) and other agencies whilst seeking to enhance opportunities for business development.
- To ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
- To successfully manage the expectations of all business stakeholders whilst achieving mutually agreed outcomes.
- To act as a key management link within the PCN and interactions with other PCNs and OHP.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities.
- Management of all clinical and administrative staff.

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 a year, Dependant on Experience.
