Recoveries Manager (with progression to Head of Recoveries after year 1 subject to performance) / Head of Recoveries:

Midlands Or South East Location:

Up to £70,000 

This is a key role in our property finance lending operation where loans range between £150k and £10m.

About the role:

·Book management of £150m plus facilities Including:

·Management of the recoveries team – 2 people reporting to them within the team

·Communication with borrowers within term monitoring progress on exit plans

·Checking and providing redemption statements

·Approving release of security

·Liaising between lawyers and agents and managing the recovery progress.

·Negotiating with customers and introducers on a case-by-case basis.

·Using in-house CRM and workflow system to manage relationships and deal progress.

·Litigation & overdue management with our partners

·Management of the site visiting schedule of properties for new loan propositions

·Visiting properties for new loan propositions (typically non-works cases)

·Reporting findings of visits to credit

Supporting functions

·Assisting in annual audit reviews

·Monitoring multiple million-pound works projects.

·Reviewing underwriters’ cases for specialist property loans prior to completion

·This is a role with high levels of responsibility and exposure from the outset and serious opportunity for the right candidate

About you:

You will have access to a specialised training programme covering property finance, law, regulations and valuation and you will work directly with Underwriting, Finance and Directors and will have daily communication with our Head of Risk.

We operate a balanced approach to working with 2-3 days a week in the office and 2-3 days either working from home or on-site visits.

We're committed to hiring applicants with an interest in property finance & law. You will need to be driven, intelligent and motivated. Applicants need to be personable and fast learning and ideally with a driving license. This is not a basic 9-5 this is a longer working role with significant room for advancement and major learning opportunities about multiple elements of property and finance.

Make-up of the Department:

·Risk & Recoveries:

·Risk – Headed– monitoring works cases (including visiting sites & releasing funds) & reviewing packs on new deals for credit approval

·Recoveries – book management, including redemption statements etc & visiting new deals that are non-works

Additional Role Information:

·In office balance: Tuesday & Wednesday in the office with site visits on top

·Enterprise car scheme: Vehicle is delivered to their home and picked up afterwards

·Salary: £55k - £70k per year depending on experience + bonus + share options if a senior person is found

·Education - Bachelor's 2:1 & better & B or above GCS

·Math’s Driving License & willingness to travel required - required
