About the Role

Industry Finance Consultant...... qualified practice candidate tempted to move closer to industry without committing to one company or sector?

This is a great opportunity for a practice-based ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to step away from traditional audit and gain genuine industry-style finance experience, while retaining the variety, progression and support of a leading Top 10 accountancy firm. You'll work within a specialist advisory team, joining client finance functions on secondments and project assignments across listed, private equity-backed and international businesses. One assignment could see you leading a month-end process, another supporting management reporting, financial transformation or a technical IFRS project. It's an opportunity to build the commercial experience typically gained in industry, but across multiple businesses and sectors.

Responsibilities

• You'll work directly within client finance teams, with responsibilities including:
• Supporting interim finance assignments and transformation projects
• Preparing statutory accounts and year-end reporting under FRS and IFRS
• Managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Producing management accounts, KPIs and reporting packs
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow modelling
• Advising on technical accounting and reporting matters
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
• Working directly with senior finance stakeholders

Qualifications

• Is ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified, or equivalent

Required Skills

• A background in audit, financial reporting or outsourced accounting
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
• Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders
• Can adapt quickly to different businesses, teams and assignments
• Has unrestricted right to work in the UK
