SF Partners is working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed technology business in Birmingham that is looking to appoint an exceptionally strong finance professional to join its FP&A team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working in Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or Corporate Finance who wants to take their financial modelling and analytical skills into industry, working closely with an experienced CFO and Director of FP&A.

The business has ambitious growth plans, including further acquisitions, and offers the opportunity to play an important role in supporting strategic financial decisions, forecasting and M&A activity.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you'll take ownership of some of the most technically demanding aspects of the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning, developing and improving the group's integrated three-statement financial model.
• Managing monthly rolling forecasts and developing financial assumptions to support business decisions.
• Building detailed financial models and scenario analysis to support the CFO, executive leadership team and investors.
• Supporting acquisition activity and integrating acquired businesses into the group's financial models and forecasting processes.
• Identifying financial risks, opportunities and areas for improved performance.
• Working closely with Finance Business Partners and senior commercial stakeholders across the business.

Who are we looking for?:

We're interested in speaking with ACA qualified professionals currently working in Transaction Services or Financial Due Diligence who are considering their first move into industry.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• An ACA qualification, ideally gained within a leading accountancy or advisory firm.
• Strong Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or relevant Corporate Finance experience.
• Exceptional Excel skills and a genuine passion for financial modelling and detailed analysis.
• Experience working with technology, SaaS or subscription-based businesses, with an understanding of recurring revenue metrics such as ARR, NRR and GRR.
• Exposure to private equity-backed businesses, acquisitions or investment-related financial analysis.
• A strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
