The Opportunity

We are urgently looking to recruit experienced Fire Alarm Engineers to join a growing contractor working on projects across the UK within the retail sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Fire Alarm Engineers looking for a new challenge, with a competitive basic salary of £40,000 and earning potential of up to £55,000.

The role will involve working on retail sites nationwide, so flexibility and a willingness to travel and stay away when required are essential.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out fire alarm installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance works across a variety of retail sites nationwide.

Responsibilities will include:

• Installing fire alarm systems across retail environments.

• Carrying out commissioning, testing and fault finding.

• Servicing and maintaining existing fire alarm systems.

• Working from technical drawings and specifications.

• Identifying faults and carrying out repairs.

• Ensuring all installations comply with relevant British Standards and industry regulations.

• Completing all relevant paperwork and certification.

• Liaising with site teams and clients.

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health and safety.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for experienced Fire Alarm Engineers with:

• Previous experience installing, servicing and commissioning fire alarm systems.

• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.

• Experience working within commercial or retail environments.

• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Knowledge of relevant British Standards, including BS 5839.

• FIA qualifications or equivalent would be advantageous.

• A full UK driving licence.

• Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away when required.
