Commercial Analyst - #2188633

A global manufacturer supplying complex components to the aerospace, automotive & high technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Commercial Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through financial analysis, cost management, pricing strategies and commercial reporting.

The Role

Generate and maintain interactive, predictive models used for profitability estimates for long term agreements.

Analyse sales, revenue, margins and profitability across products and customers.

Monitor manufacturing costs, production efficiencies and overheads.

Prepare regular commercial reports, forecasts and performance dashboards.

Analyse product costing, pricing and gross profit margins.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Investigate variances against budget, forecast and prior-year performance.

Maintain accurate commercial data and reporting processes.

Support preparation of Business review data packs and schedules.

The Person

Previous experience in a Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst or similar analytical role.

Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment (desirable).

Strong Excel skills and experience producing management reports.

Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

An understanding of product costing, margins and profitability.

The ability to communicate financial and commercial information clearly.

Experience with ERP systems and Power BI (advantageous).
