£28.58 per hour

Temporary (3-4 months approximately)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client's reputable organisation and play a key role in delivering business transformation, process improvement, and change initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and document requirements, and ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.

This role requires a strong communicator with proven experience managing complex projects, engaging senior stakeholders, and driving successful business outcomes.

Essential Specification

  • Substantial senior business analysis experience in complex service improvement or organisational change, including processes crossing organisational and professional boundaries.
  • Strong requirements in management, prioritisation, process mapping, acceptance criteria and change control skills, with evidence of translating ambiguous problems into practical improvements and supporting implementation.
  • Demonstrable project or programme delivery management skills: integrated planning, milestone tracking, dependency and risk management, recovery planning and coordination of interdependent activities. Evidence of securing progress through people outside direct line management.
  • Experience facilitating senior and technical stakeholders, challenging delays diplomatically, resolving disagreement and producing clear decision papers. Experience in a regulated, statutory, public safety or comparable assurance environment.
  • Ability to analyse operational evidence, define demand and performance measures, and translate operational needs into digital and information requirements. Experience coordinating testing, adoption and handover into business as usual.
  • Practical programme administration skills, including trackers, logs, meeting organisation, accurate minutes, action follow-up, reporting and document control in Teams or SharePoint. Willingness to undertake routine coordination alongside substantive analysis.
  • Strong judgement, organisation and independent delivery; ability to manage competing priorities, resolve routine blockers, recommend solutions and recognise decisions requiring escalation. Relevant professional experience is essential.

Desirable specification

  • Building, fire safety, building control or national regulatory experience.
  • Statutory consultation processes; competence and quality assurance.
  • Workforce planning.
  • Information sharing or digital transformation.
  • Recognised business analysis and project or programme management qualifications, or equivalent experience, are desirable.
