SAP BTP Engineer - #2188456

We are working with a client looking for an SAP BTP Developer to support their SAP modernisation programme, including a move to RISE with SAP and Integration Suite.

2-3 Days onsite in Birmingham or Northampton

Salary is up to £55k

Please note this role does not offer sponsorship.

You’ll design and develop integrations, applications and extensions on SAP BTP, helping reduce customisation through clean core principles.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, building and maintaining integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Developing applications and extensions using CAP/RAP, Node.js, Java and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Building and extending SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Managing secure connectivity and authentication across SAP and external systems.
• Supporting the migration of legacy integrations into SAP BTP.
• Working with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Supporting testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing development.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong development experience on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Practical experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience building applications or extensions using CAP and/or RAP.
• SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• An understanding of clean core principles and side by side extensibility.
• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with internal and third party systems.
• Knowledge of secure connectivity, authentication and authorisation within SAP BTP.

It would also be useful to have:

• A background in ABAP development.
• Experience with SAP Event Mesh or event driven architectures.
• Exposure to SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Analytics Cloud or Datasphere.
