Azure Platform Engineer - #2186319

Leading bank looking for an Azure DevOps/Platform Engineer to join the team on a contract basis.

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the global Azure Landing Zone platform.
• Build and automate Azure platform services using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules, templates, and platform patterns to support large-scale cloud adoption.
• Design and implement platform governance, security controls, Azure Policy frameworks, and compliance automation.
• Partner with architecture, security, networking, and application teams to deliver secure and production-ready cloud services.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices using GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, LLM-powered workflows, and automation tooling.
• Develop AI-driven solutions to support cloud engineering activities including troubleshooting, documentation generation, operational support, policy analysis, and knowledge retrieval.
• Create and maintain cloud engineering AI patterns leveraging Python, Azure OpenAI, AI Search, RAG architectures, SDKs, databases, and platform APIs.
• Lead platform support and continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers and architects, setting standards, mentoring staff, and driving successful delivery.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of Azure DevOps experience - required
• Strong automation experience (CI/CD, Terraform etc.)
• Integration with SaaS platforms
• Python, Bash or PowerShell experience
• AI experience - nice to have
• Experience working in a large corporate environment
