We are working with a market-leading professional services business to appoint a Group Finance Director.

Key Information

• Location: Birmingham, with some UK travel
• Turnover: £240m
• Remit: UK, US, Asia and Europe
• Reporting to: CEO
• Finance Team: 28, with 4 direct reports

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a finance function covering FP&A, Business Partnering, Financial Reporting and Operational Finance.

This is a broad, varied and commercially focused leadership role. This is the number one role in finance and sits on the board. We need someone who can run the finance team, whilst also strategically leading commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, financial planning and cash flow.
• Drive commercial performance, profitability and business partnering.
• Support strategic growth, investment decisions and M&A.
• Oversee Group reporting, consolidations, statutory accounts, audit and tax.
• Lead treasury, banking, AP, AR and working capital.
• Strengthen systems, processes, controls and risk management.
• Champion AI, automation and digital transformation.

About You

We are looking for a brilliant all-round finance leader with a varied technical and commercial skill set.

Someone bright, humble, proactive and engaging. A leader who enjoys developing people, challenging conventional thinking and making finance more commercially valuable.

Professional services experience would be advantageous.

Ideally we are looking for a qualified accountant, (audit trained), who is currently working in a Finance Director / CFO position.
