Are you an experienced IT Technician with strong server and back-end technical knowledge looking for your next opportunity in education?
Aspire People are currently recruiting for an IT Technician to join a school in North Birmingham.
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive IT professional with experience across general IT support and, more importantly, server infrastructure and back-end systems. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing IT team, providing technical support and assisting with the management and maintenance of the school's IT infrastructure.
The Role:
* Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
* Providing day-to-day IT support across the school.
* Supporting the maintenance and management of servers.
* Working with back-end systems and IT infrastructure.
* Troubleshooting server, network, hardware and software issues.
* Supporting Active Directory and user account management.
* Assisting with network infrastructure and system maintenance.
* Providing technical support to staff and resolving more complex IT issues.
* Working closely with the existing IT team to support ongoing technical requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working in an IT Technician, IT Infrastructure or IT Support role.
* Strong experience working with servers and back-end systems is essential.
* Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
* Experience with networking and IT infrastructure.
* Confident troubleshooting complex technical issues.
* Experience providing both general IT support and more advanced technical support.
* Able to work independently and as part of an existing IT team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Previous experience within an educational setting would be advantageous.
* Candidates with stronger server-side and infrastructure experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
The cost of the DBS is £47.20, which will need to be covered by the successful candidate.
If you already have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, this may be accepted, subject to the necessary checks.
