+ £30,000 - £32,000
Fancy playing a part in putting Birmingham and the wider West Midlands on the map? This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Events Executive to join a high-profile regional organisation with an important role in driving the growth, profile and success of the region.
We're delighted to be supporting an organisation that works across tourism, inward investment, business events and major sporting events, helping showcase everything the West Midlands has to offer and strengthen its position as a destination of choice.
From business conferences and private dinners to trade shows, exhibitions and international events, there's plenty of variety, some fantastic people to work with and the opportunity to be involved in events that bring together businesses, industry leaders and key regional stakeholders.
And that's where you come in!
You'll work closely with the Event Managers supporting the planning and delivery of a varied programme of events. It's a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life, juggling lots of moving parts and making sure every detail comes together.
What will you be doing?
You'll support the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, getting involved in everything from the initial ideas and creative concepts through to logistics, communications and on-the-day delivery.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of business conferences, private dinners, exhibitions, trade shows and other events.
- Sourcing and coordinating venues and suppliers, ensuring everything offers the best value.
- Managing speaker briefings, guest lists, invitations and event communications.
- Coordinating event content, presentations, diaries and itineraries.
- Building relationships with a wide range of internal teams, external partners and regional stakeholders.
- Supporting event logistics on the day, including registration, speakers, catering, venue teams and deliveries.
- Gathering attendee feedback and event data to help evaluate activity and shape future events.
There's a great mix of planning, creativity, coordination and relationship building here. You'll need to be comfortable managing multiple projects, working to deadlines and keeping everything on track, even when things get busy.
What are we looking for?
We're keen to hear from experienced event professionals, or talented events graduates that are highly organised, proactive and full of ideas, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities and build relationships with a diverse range of people. You'll also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to stay calm and resourceful when things don't quite go to plan!
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys getting stuck in. Someone who can take ownership, think on their feet and gets a real buzz from seeing an event come together.
Interested?
If you're an Events Executive or event professional looking for a varied, hands-on opportunity where you can work on some fantastic events and play a part in showcasing the West Midlands, we'd love to hear from you.
