Management Accountant

A fast-growing business is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to deliver insightful reporting and help drive its financial strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Prepare covenant compliance certificates and supporting MI for funding providers
• Manage daily cash movements between group entities
• Present financial performance insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions
• Analyse costs and recommend efficiency improvements
• Advise on business plans, risks and investments, and support the financing of new projects
• Improve and oversee financial systems, controls and reporting procedures
• Supervise and support accounting technicians
• Translate complex financial data for non-finance colleagues

Key Requirements

• Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Technical skills: Proven management accounting and financial reporting experience; strong knowledge of accounting standards; advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, macros); confident reading legal contracts and compliance mechanisms
• Working pattern: Full-time, office-based in Birmingham City Centre (5 days a week on site)
