Birmingham | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

I'm working with a highly regarded national law firm that is looking to appoint a Residential Development Associate to join its established and growing Real Estate team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Development Solicitor to join a well-respected practice with a strong reputation for advising housebuilders, developers and landowners on a broad range of residential development matters.

The team works with an impressive client base, including major national housebuilders, regional developers and land promoters, advising on complex and often high-value development projects.

With a strong pipeline of work and an established presence in the market, this is an opportunity to become part of a successful team handling quality work, with genuine scope to develop your career.

The Opportunity

You'll play an active role in advising clients on a varied range of residential development and strategic land matters, including:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of development land.

  • Promotion and option agreements.

  • Conditional contracts and overage arrangements.

  • Strategic land transactions and site assembly.

  • Development agreements and collaboration arrangements.

  • Advising national and regional housebuilders on residential development projects.

  • Affordable housing and associated development matters.

  • Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion.

You'll work closely with experienced colleagues and develop relationships with a diverse client base, taking responsibility for matters while contributing to the continued success of the wider team.

About You

I'm keen to speak with Residential Development Solicitors who can demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.

  • Experience within a residential development or housebuilding team.

  • Exposure to development land acquisitions, disposals and associated agreements.

  • Experience advising housebuilders, developers or landowners.

  • Strong technical ability and commercial awareness.

  • Confidence managing client relationships and running transactions.

  • A proactive approach and an interest in developing within a successful team.

What's on Offer?

  • The opportunity to join a leading national legal practice.

  • High-quality residential development work.

  • Exposure to major housebuilders and established developer clients.

  • A strong and established team with an excellent market reputation.

  • Genuine opportunities for career development and progression.

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

  • Competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
