About the role Our Client is a growing [business / accountancy practice] looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to join its finance team. You will play a key role in month-end reporting while we support you to finish your ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.

What you will do

  • Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Help produce management accounts and variance analysis
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT returns and support year-end audits
  • Work with budget holders to explain costs and forecasts
  • Help improve finance processes and controls

What you need

  • Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with good exam progress
  • 2+ years in a finance or accounting role
  • Experience with month-end and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong Excel skills (including lookups and pivot tables)
  • Accurate, organised and good with deadlines

Nice to have

  • Experience with Sage, Xero, NetSuite or SAP
  • Management accounts experience
  • Experience supporting an external audit
