Client and Commercial Data Analyst - #2181793

Location: Birmingham

Working pattern: Hybrid, 2 to 3 days onsite per week

We’re looking for a Client & Commercial Data Analyst to join an established professional services company in Birmingham.

Working closely with the business development team, you’ll analyse client and matter data to help the business understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed commercial decisions.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers and can clearly explain what the findings mean and where the business could take action.

What you’ll be doing

• Analyse client and matter data to identify trends, patterns and commercial opportunities.
• Produce clear, accurate management information to support business development activity and decision making.
• Translate findings into practical insights and recommendations.
• Work with colleagues to understand reporting requirements and present information in a useful, accessible format.
• Check data and reports for accuracy, highlighting inconsistencies or gaps.
• Handle sensitive client and business information carefully, maintaining confidentiality.

What we’re looking for

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with close attention to detail.
• Confident Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience producing management information and explaining findings to colleagues.
• The ability to turn data into meaningful commercial insights.
• Experience working within professional services or a law firm.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing reporting requirements.
• Sound judgement when handling sensitive or confidential information.

Desirable

• Experience using Power BI to produce reports or dashboards.
