An established and growing organisation based in Birmingham is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their fast-paced transactional finance team on an interim basis. This role is perfectly suited for a Sales Ledger professional who enjoys a high-volume environment and possesses a thorough approach to billing accuracy.

Working closely with the wider finance division, you will manage the end-to-end sales ledger process to ensure all weekly and monthly billing cycles are completed within strict deadlines. Your main focus will include generating and distributing high-volume sales invoices to corporate clients, reviewing daily cash allocations, and matching incoming BACS payments directly against client accounts. You will also take responsibility for managing complex statement reconciliations, investigating ledger discrepancies, and acting as the primary point of contact for external billing queries to ensure a swift and professional resolution.

Skills Required:

  • A minimum of two years of solid experience operating within a dedicated Accounts Receivable or Billing function.
  • Exceptional numerical accuracy with a sharp eye for identifying transactional errors.
  • Comfortable navigating ERP accounting systems and managing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • A collaborative team player who can adapt quickly to new financial processes and fast-paced environments.

What You Will Receive:

  • Convenient city centre office location with excellent access to local public transport links.
  • A welcoming, collaborative team environment with a structured, thorough handover process.
  • The opportunity to enhance your interim profile within a market-leading enterprise.
  • Potential opportunities for contract extension or transition into permanent internal roles.

If you are an experienced and driven ledger professional looking for your next challenge within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, we would love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact within a supportive team that genuinely values individual contribution. To be considered for this immediate-start contract, please submit your up-to-date CV today to initiate a confidential discussion regarding your application.
