Hiring: BMS Applications Engineers | FTSE100 | Great Benefits

Based in Birmingham

£65,000 per year

Five days on-site

We’re working alongside one of the UK’s most established BMS specialists, who are looking to bring an experienced BMS Service Engineer into their growing engineering team.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established business operating across the BMS/BEMS sector, maintaining and optimising building control systems within commercial environments. You'll gain exposure to industry-leading BMS platforms, with ongoing technical training and development opportunities to further strengthen your expertise. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, technical challenges, and client-facing responsibilities, ensuring building systems consistently perform at their best.

You'll take responsibility for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), identifying and rectifying faults across BMS installations, and ensuring control systems operate efficiently. Your day-to-day duties will involve reactive maintenance, system diagnostics, controller replacements and minor remedial works, alongside responding to technical issues and providing practical solutions to customers. You'll also produce detailed service reports, recommend system improvements and work closely with clients to minimise downtime. The role includes participation in an on-call rota to provide additional technical support when required.

️ Experience and requirements

• Previous experience working within the BMS/BEMS industry, particularly in service, maintenance or technical support.

• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults across complex building control systems.

• Sound technical knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers and boilers.

• Hands-on experience with Trend and IQ Vision platforms.

• Familiarity with Siemens, Tridium Niagara, or Schneider EcoStruxure would be advantageous, with further training available.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with customers.

• Comfortable working autonomously, managing service responsibilities and collaborating with other engineers.

• Competent in using PC-based BMS software, diagnostic tools and digital reporting systems.

• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota when required.

• A full UK driving licence.

THIS ROLE DOES NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.
