The Mind Collective Ltd

Marketing Executive – Social Media & Content

Birmingham | Hybrid | Full-time

About Us

The Mind Collective is a Birmingham-based marketing agency working with ambitious SMEs, challenger brands and some of the UK's best-known FMCG brands. Founded in 2015, we pioneered a flexible, plug-and-play marketing model, giving businesses access to experienced marketing expertise without the overhead of a traditional in-house team.

Our clients include Kraft Heinz, Lea & Perrins, Amoy, Heinz for Baby, HP Sauce, The Curators, Golden Acre Foods, Neat Clean, Hayman's Gin, Merser Rum, Shanky's Whip, Antidote Apparel, Bertinet Bakery, All The Aunties, Juicy Marbles, Sweet Freedom and more.

The Role

We're looking for a talented and ambitious Marketing Executive with 18 months 2–3 years' social. media experience who is ready to take ownership of client accounts, develop great social and content strategies and deliver excellent work. You'll play a key role in managing some of our established FMCG accounts, including brands within the Kraft Heinz portfolio, taking responsibility for day-to-day client relationships, social media strategy, content planning and campaign execution.

This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to schedule content and follow a brief. We're looking for someone who understands what makes brands tick, can turn insights into ideas and knows how to bring those ideas to life. You'll need to be equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting stuck into the detail. From developing quarterly content plans and briefing creatives to managing clients, analysing performance and spotting opportunities, you'll be involved from start to finish.

We're a small, ambitious team, so initiative, accountability and a genuine passion for great marketing are essential. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, develop your skills and take increasing ownership as you grow.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Take day-to-day ownership of key FMCG client accounts, building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Confidently lead client meetings, present recommendations and manage expectations.
  • Manage client priorities, deadlines, budgets and deliverables to ensure consistently excellent service.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen our work and add value to clients.

Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute quarterly social media and content strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Translate consumer insights, social trends and competitor activity into relevant, engaging content ideas.
  • Build and manage content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve brand awareness, engagement and commercial performance.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social trends, platform developments and best practice.

Content & Campaign Execution

  • Take ownership of content planning, copywriting, scheduling and publishing, ensuring excellent attention to detail.
  • Develop creative briefs and manage internal designers, content creators and external suppliers.
  • Lead the execution of social campaigns, seasonal activations, product launches and influencer activity.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, engaging, accurate and delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Oversee community management, working with junior team members to maintain brand tone of voice and engagement standards.

Performance & Optimisation

  • Monitor social media and campaign performance, identifying opportunities to optimise activity.
  • Produce insightful monthly reports that go beyond the numbers to explain what's working, what's not and what we should do next.
  • Use performance data and social listening to inform future content strategies and recommendations.

Influencer Marketing & Brand Partnerships

  • Identify and manage relevant influencers, creators and brand partnerships.
  • Oversee influencer outreach, briefing, gifting programmes and campaign delivery.
  • Evaluate activity and recommend ways to improve effectiveness.

Team & Wider Marketing

  • Brief and coordinate internal creative resources, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team including interns who undertake your community management and social listening.
  • Contribute ideas and expertise across wider client projects and new business opportunities.
  • Support TMC's own marketing activity where required.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings a combination of strong executional skills, creative thinking and the confidence to take ownership. You will ideally have:

  • 2–3 years' experience in a marketing or social media role, ideally within an agency or FMCG/consumer brand environment.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and delivering content strategies across multiple platforms.
  • Strong client-facing skills and the confidence to build relationships, lead conversations and present ideas.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and an understanding of how to adapt content for different brands, audiences and channels.
  • Experience developing content calendars, briefing creatives and managing campaigns from concept through to delivery.
  • A good understanding of social media analytics and how to turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A genuine interest in consumer brands, social media, content and emerging trends.

Just as importantly, you'll be someone who:

  • Takes ownership and follows things through.
  • Thinks proactively rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the detail.
  • Brings ideas, challenges thinking and isn't afraid to have an opinion.
  • Is commercially curious and wants to understand how marketing contributes to brand growth.
  • Takes pride in producing excellent work.
  • Is collaborative, resourceful and keen to keep learning.

Benefits & Package:

  • Competitive Salary
  • 25 days + bank holidays per annum
  • Your Birthday Off
  • Private Healthcare
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • £250 annual wellness stipend
  • Flexible core working hours
  • Hybrid working with 10 anchor days per month in a co-working space in Birmingham city centre with gym membership and climbing wall.
  • Monthly team socials
  • Full training programme in digital and tailored personal development plan
  • Mentor / Team Buddy from day one
  • Insights Discovery Profile
