What you'll do:

• Advise banks, lenders, and borrower clients on a broad range of real estate finance transactions with a particular emphasis on lender-side work.
• Prepare Certificates of Title and conduct thorough property due diligence exercises as part of complex real estate finance deals.
• Manage a varied caseload encompassing commercial property and real estate finance matters for both lender clients and third sector borrowers.
• Provide balanced guidance across the financing process by acting on transactions for both lenders and borrowers within the third sector.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and collaborative problem-solving.
• Deliver clear technical advice while ensuring all documentation meets rigorous standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Support third sector organisations-including charities, social businesses, and community groups-in navigating property finance challenges.
• Contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing culture by participating in training sessions and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Stay abreast of industry developments to ensure advice remains current and relevant to client needs.
• Promote the firm's values by engaging in social purpose volunteering activities alongside your professional responsibilities.

What you bring:

• 3+ years' post-qualification experience in Real Estate or Commercial Property law with exposure to real estate finance matters.
• Proven track record acting for banks, lenders, or financial institutions on real estate finance transactions is essential for this position.
• Excellent technical skills in drafting legal documents related to property finance deals.
• Commercial awareness coupled with a strong client focus ensures you understand the broader context of each transaction.
• Ability to manage matters independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team setting.
• Experience handling wider commercial property transactions-including acquisitions, disposals, and leases-is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills enable you to build trust-based relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
