RF Healthcare is a growing healthcare and business consultancy supporting organisations with tendering, procurement, regulatory compliance, operational development and strategic consultancy.

We work predominantly across healthcare, ambulance services, patient transport, urgent care and the wider public sector.

As our consultancy work develops, we're looking to establish relationships with experienced freelance bid writers and tender consultants who can support us on an ad hoc basis.

We're seeking an experienced, self-employed Bid Writer / Tender Consultant to work with RF Healthcare on a flexible, project-by-project basis.

This is not an employed position. We're looking for independent professionals who can provide their services when opportunities arise.

Work will vary depending on client requirements and may involve anything from reviewing individual tender responses to developing complete submissions.

There are no guaranteed hours or assignments, and you'll be free to accept or decline projects based on your availability.

• Preparing and writing high-quality tender responses and method statements.
• Reviewing tender documentation, specifications and evaluation criteria.
• Supporting NHS and public sector framework applications.
• Developing persuasive, evidence-based responses.
• Working with our directors and clients to gather information and supporting evidence.
• Reviewing existing submissions and identifying areas for improvement.
• Supporting bid planning, compliance checks and submission deadlines.
• Providing advice on tender strategy and bid development.

• Demonstrable experience in bid writing, tender submissions or procurement consultancy.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Experience responding to public sector procurement opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and a practical, commercially aware approach.
• Confidence working directly with clients and interpreting complex requirements.

Experience within healthcare, NHS services, ambulance operations or patient transport would be advantageous, but is not essential.

• Self-employed / independent contractor basis.
• Fully remote working.
• Flexible, project-based assignments.
• No guaranteed minimum hours or ongoing workload.
• Fees agreed in advance, either hourly, daily or per project.
• Payment against invoices for agreed services.
• Opportunity for an ongoing consultancy relationship as RF Healthcare grows.
