Legionella Risk Assessor – Midlands

£38000-£42000 + Benefits (Car, 2 days for report writing)

Health and Safety Consultancy who provide services across legionella, fire risk and asbestos are looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor with leadership and quality control experience to help manage the workload for an existing team of risk assessors across the Midlands and South-West.

The Legionella Risk Assessor role will remain hands on for 2-3 days a week with the other time either report writing or reviewing existing reports offering guidance/professional advice to other Legionella Risk Assessors within the team whilst working closely with key customers.

Duties summary:

• Reviewing completed risk assessments produced by other assessors are accurate and reflective of site requirements
• Check that reports are technically correct, complete and fit for purpose.
• Offer guidance on missing information and any revisits required  
• Ensure assessments follow relevant HSE guidance, including L8 and HSG274.
• Monitoring the performance of other assessors
• Carry out audits and accompany other risk assessors on site where required
• Provide technical guidance and additional training/coaching.
• Assist with water hygiene and basic remedial works alongside the legionella compliance team where needed

To apply the Legionella Risk Assessor will have the following experience

• Proven experience working as an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor
• Sound understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
• Experience in quality control and team leadership
• Ability to travel across the South-West and Midlands region
• Full UK driving licence / DBS Checked

The Legionella Risk Assessor will receive a full benefits package including a company car, mobile, pension and company bonus. Additional training will also be provided in plumbing and water hygiene where needed.
