With significant investment secured and a clear ambition to double the business over the next three years, this is an opportunity for an accomplished commercial leader to take the helm of an established manufacturer and shape what comes next.
Our client designs and manufactures HVAC and refrigeration systems for a diverse range of buildings and applications, including hospitals, supermarkets, offices, universities and airports.
With expertise spanning system design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, the business provides tailored solutions and support throughout the entire project lifecycle.
The successful Managing Director will have a clear mandate to drive sustainable growth, profitability and customer satisfaction, while building and developing the organisation for its next stage of expansion.
The Role
Working alongside an established functional leadership team, you will take full strategic and operational responsibility for the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the company's strategic business plan and growth objectives
- Full ownership of the P&L
- Identifying new markets, revenue streams and business opportunities
- Developing commercial strategies to secure major customers and long-term contracts
- Building strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and strategic partners
- Leading and developing the senior leadership team
- Overseeing Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects, Sales, Aftercare, Health & Safety, Finance and HR
- Driving operational performance, efficiency and profitability
- Leading business transformation and organisational change as the company scales
Desirable Experience
We are looking to speak with experienced senior leaders from the HVAC, refrigeration, heat pump or closely related building technologies sectors.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience with significant P&L responsibility
- A strong track record of delivering profitable business growth
- Experience working with major retail, supermarket, commercial, industrial and/or public-sector customers
- Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC and/or heat pump technologies
- An understanding of relevant legislation, environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
- A strong understanding of the energy transition, decarbonisation agenda and the growing role of heat pump technologies within the built environment
- Experience leading business transformation, organisational change and/or acquisition integration
- Strong commercial, operational and people leadership capabilities
