Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, 12 month FTC

You’ll have excellent attention to detail and enjoy taking ownership of your workload, while being confident communicating with colleagues, customers and suppliers. You’ll be comfortable working within a high-volume environment and able to maintain accuracy while managing multiple responsibilities.

Package and Benefits

· Full-time, 12 month FTC

· Monday–Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

· Death in Service at 4 times annual basic salary

· Pension after a 3-month probation period

· Hybrid working after probation period

Job Role

· Managing bank account balances and completing daily bank reconciliations

· Managing key balance sheet accounts, including prepayments and accruals

· Creating new supplier and customer accounts within the accounting system

· Creating customer invoices, credit notes and initiating Direct Debit payments

· Allocating incoming payments and supporting credit control activity

· Processing supplier invoices

· Sending supplier remittances and supporting wider ad hoc finance duties

Skills and Experience

· Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role

· Preferably holding or working towards an AAT qualification
