Position: FLT Driver (Despatch Operative)

Location: Aston

Hours: Day shift (37 hours per week + overtime available)

Salary: £15 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, permanently employed by the business

We're looking for a hands-on Despatch Operator to join a busy and growing business. This is not a sit-on forklift truck role and it certainly isn't a pick-and-pack position. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is happy to help wherever the business needs them.

What's Involved?

No two days are the same. Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Meeting and directing drivers on site
• Banding and preparing products for dispatch
• Stock control and inventory checks
• Updating information on computer systems
• Supporting the despatch office when required
• Working both indoors and outdoors
• Getting involved wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has previous despatch, warehouse, logistics or goods-in/goods-out experience within manufacturing
• Is comfortable using a computer
• Has an in-date counterbalance licence
• Enjoys a varied role and isn't afraid of physical work
• Can communicate confidently with drivers and colleagues
• Has a positive attitude and a "all hands on deck" approach
• Wants a long-term opportunity with a permanent position on offer
