+ Executive Assistant

+ Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

This is a truly unique opportunity to play your part in supporting one of the UK's most ambitious life sciences scale-ups!

Cancer is set to become one of the world's biggest healthcare challenges, and with 42% of cancers diagnosed at a late stage, the need for earlier, more accurate and accessible testing has never been greater.

With a bold vision to make early cancer detection accessible to everyone, this business is already making incredible progress. But with ambitious growth comes busy diaries, big ideas, endless to-do lists and a leadership team juggling a million things at once!

And that's where you come in...

We're looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to become the CEO's right hand, helping turn ideas into action, bringing structure to the chaos and ensuring the leadership team can focus on what matters most.

The role:

This isn't your typical EA role. Yes, there will be diary management, scheduling and administration, but there's so much more to it than that.

You'll be working closely with the CEO, getting involved in everything from organising their day to supporting projects, coordinating stakeholders and making things happen.

One minute you might be taking notes in a meeting and turning them into a clear action plan. The next, you could be briefing a designer on a presentation, creating a deck yourself, researching a new idea or challenging a timeline to make sure something actually gets delivered.

You'll have a helicopter view of what's happening across the business, keeping track of priorities, following up on actions and spotting potential problems before they become actual problems.

You'll also play a part in building the CEO's external profile, working alongside the communications team to coordinate social media activity, industry engagement and events.

Ultimately, you'll be the person who keeps things moving, connects the dots and makes sure great ideas don't get lost in busy diaries!

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who is exceptionally organised, proactive and confident working alongside senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.

You'll need to be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, managing stakeholders and taking ownership without waiting to be told what to do.

A few things we'd love to see:

  • Experience supporting a CEO, founder or senior leadership team, ideally within a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Brilliant organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to turn conversations into clear actions.
  • Confidence creating presentations, coordinating projects and communicating with stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of digital tools, AI and how technology can make everyone more productive.
  • A creative eye and an interest in social media, communications and events would be a real bonus.

The most important bit? Your attitude!

You could have all the EA experience in the world, but for this role, mindset is everything.

We need someone who is one step ahead, not one step behind. Someone who can anticipate what's needed, challenge constructively, take ownership and remain calm when things get busy.

The leadership team is working towards some seriously ambitious goals. Time is precious, priorities can change quickly and decisions need to turn into action.

You'll need to be adaptable, resourceful, discreet and confident enough to work independently, while knowing when to ask questions or push for a decision.

This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, genuinely enjoys making other people's lives easier and gets a real sense of achievement from seeing things happen.

Why this opportunity?

Quite simply, the chance to be part of something that could make a genuine difference to people's lives.

You'll work directly with an ambitious CEO, gain exposure to the inner workings of a rapidly growing business and play a meaningful role in helping the team achieve its goals.

If you're a brilliant EA who loves being at the heart of the action, enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of something bigger, we'd love to hear from you.
