We're particularly interested in teachers who combine strong subject knowledge with confident classroom and behaviour management, and who can deliver engaging lessons across the secondary Geography curriculum.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE WE RECRUITING FOR?

We are recruiting Geography Teachers for consideration for future daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and longer-term teaching assignments.

Depending on the school's requirements, responsibilities may include:

- Delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teaching physical and human Geography, including climate, ecosystems, population, development and global challenges.
- Supporting pupils studying GCSE Geography.
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
- Maintaining positive classroom routines and managing behaviour effectively.
- Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required.
- Supporting wider Humanities teaching where appropriate to your experience.

Experience teaching A-Level Geography or supporting geographical fieldwork would be an advantage for relevant assignments.

Long-term positions may involve additional planning, marking and departmental responsibilities.

These are prospective opportunities across multiple schools, rather than a confirmed vacancy at one specific school.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for qualified teachers with:

- QTS or QTLS and a Geography teaching specialism.
- Experience delivering Geography within a secondary school environment.
- Secure subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to establish clear expectations.
- Confidence adapting teaching for mixed-ability classes, including SEND and EAL pupils.
- A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Geography Teachers and Early Career Teachers.

Teachers with a Geography specialism who are also confident delivering History or Religious Studies are particularly encouraged to apply, as this may broaden the range of suitable Humanities opportunities.

Our secondary recruitment team works with schools across Birmingham and Solihull, including:

East Birmingham - Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Yardley, Sheldon and surrounding areas.

South Birmingham - Hall Green, Kings Heath, Moseley, Acocks Green and neighbouring areas.

Solihull - Central Solihull, North Solihull and surrounding communities.

We will take your preferred locations, travel arrangements and availability into account when discussing potential assignments.
