You’ll play a pivotal role in leading day-to-day provision operations, embedding high educational standards, driving safeguarding culture, and supporting both learners and staff to thrive within a structured and nurturing environment.

If you’re an adaptable leader who combines operational excellence with genuine relationship-building and a strong understanding of alternative education, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

As Head of Provision, you will oversee the operational and educational leadership of a specialist provision, ensuring high standards across safeguarding, behaviour, learner outcomes, staff performance, and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with senior leadership teams, you’ll help shape provision culture while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading the day-to-day management of the provision
Line managing teaching and support staff
Driving high standards in behaviour, attendance, and learner outcomes
Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the provision
Supporting curriculum implementation and quality assurance processes
Conducting learning walks, observations, and operational reviews
Managing stakeholder relationships with schools, local authorities, and families
Leading restorative practices, reintegration support, and learner interventions
Ensuring safeguarding, compliance, and operational procedures are consistently maintained
Supporting staff development, accountability, and professional growth

This role requires a visible, proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with strong day-to-day operational management. It would also suit an experienced Teacher who wants to take that next step in their career.

QTS/QTLS or Level 5 teaching equivalent qualification
Leadership experience within an educational setting or strong leadership ability
Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
Experience managing staff performance and professional development

Strong understanding of educational standards, behaviour systems, and learner outcomes

Desirable:
