Hays Education is supporting friendly primary schools across Edgbaston and the wider B15 area that are looking for caring, dependable Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to join them after the October half-term.Whether you are an experienced TA, have supported pupils with additional needs, or are looking to build on your work with children in another setting, we want to hear from you. If you are patient, positive and passionate about helping pupils thrive, we can help you find the right next step.

Your new role

• Supporting learning and classroom activities across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Delivering focused small-group or 1:1 support
• Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties or learning needs
• Using appropriate strategies to encourage engagement, communication and positive behaviour
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits
• Contributing to a calm, welcoming and inclusive classroom

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available after the October half-term, including general classroom support, 1:1 SEN support, resource-based roles and long-term assignments with the potential to become permanent.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting teaching & learning, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent qualification
• Have supported children in a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, care or similar setting
• Genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow and feel confident
• Be comfortable adapting your support to meet individual learning, communication or emotional needs
• Communicate well and work positively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
• Be dependable, flexible and ready to use your initiative
