Financial Controller - #2168988

Greenwellgleeson are are recruiting for a technically strong Financial Controller to join an established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, practice-trained accountant, ideally on their second or third move into industry, with exposure to US GAAP and manufacturing.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and controls, while driving improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and UK GAAP.

• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and financial controls.

• Manage statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.

• Support group consolidation and international reporting.

• Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure compliance with group policies.

• Oversee manufacturing accounting, including stock valuation, WIP and costing.

• Improve financial processes, systems and internal controls.

• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support commercial decisions.

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally trained within a Top 10 accountancy practice.

• Second or third mover from practice, with strong technical accounting experience.

• Previous exposure to manufacturing and an understanding of inventory and costing.

• Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and group reporting.

• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proactive, hands-on and commercially aware, with a continuous improvement mindset.
