I'm currently supporting a leading UK law firm in the search for an Employment Solicitor to join its top-ranked Birmingham Employment team.

The Opportunity

As part of a highly regarded Employment team, you will advise a diverse client portfolio spanning the education sector and a broad range of commercial employers, including organisations across healthcare, retail, manufacturing, automotive, and professional services.

The role offers exposure to a varied caseload including:

• Employment tribunal litigation
• Day-to-day employment advisory work
• Complex employee relations matters
• Restructuring and organisational change projects
• Client training, seminars, and legal updates
• Business development and profile-raising activities

You'll have the opportunity to work on technically challenging matters for sophisticated clients while developing specialist expertise within a supportive and ambitious team.

Sector-specific experience is not essential. The team is committed to providing the training and support needed to help you succeed.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with approximately 1–5 years' PQE
• Strong employment law experience gained in private practice
• Excellent communication, drafting, and presentation skills
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative and personable approach to client relationships
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop specialist expertise
• Interest in innovation, technology, and AI would be advantageous
