General Manager – Premium Frozen Yogurt Brand

Location: Birmingham Bullring

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum

Bonus: Performance-related bonus scheme currently in development

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Opportunity: New Opening | Site Number Two | Fast-Growing International Brand

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, commercially driven General Manager to join a rapidly expanding international frozen yogurt brand as it launches its second UK location in the heart of Birmingham Bullring.

Originally founded in Los Angeles, the business has built a strong international presence and recently celebrated a highly successful first UK opening in Central London.

With ambitious plans to grow to five UK locations by the second half of 2027, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its expansion, with genuine potential for career progression as the brand continues to scale.

We're looking for someone entrepreneurial, hands-on and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, who wants to play a key role in building something special.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation of a high-volume frozen yogurt kiosk within one of the UK's busiest shopping destinations.

This is a fast-paced, seven-day trading environment, with weekly sales targets of approximately £50,000.

A key element of the role will be overseeing the back-of-house operation, which acts as the engine behind the customer-facing kiosk. Products and ingredients are prepared in a separate preparation area before being transported to the kiosk, meaning strong organisation, communication and operational coordination are essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes, from preparation and stock control through to product availability, team performance and service delivery.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys problem-solving and knows how to create structure and efficiency within a growing operation.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Back-of-House Management

  • Take ownership of the daily operation, ensuring the kiosk and back-of-house preparation area work seamlessly together.
  • Oversee product preparation, replenishment, stock movement and timely deliveries to the kiosk.
  • Ensure products are consistently available to meet customer demand, particularly during peak trading periods.
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, hygiene and operational compliance.
  • Implement efficient processes and systems to support a fast-paced, high-volume business.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions.

Commercial Performance

  • Drive sales performance against ambitious weekly revenue targets of approximately £50,000.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise revenue, particularly during afternoons, weekends and other peak trading periods.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, labour costs, stock control and operational efficiency.
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to growing the business and improving profitability.
  • Maintain a strong commercial focus while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

People Leadership

  • Recruit, develop and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Build a strong management structure, including a minimum of two supervisors.
  • Manage rotas and staffing requirements across a seven-day trading operation, with closing times extending to 10 PM.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive, energetic and customer-focused culture.
  • Coach team members to deliver consistently high standards of service and operational excellence.

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy, high-footfall retail environment.
  • Maintain outstanding presentation and cleanliness standards across all areas.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and attention to detail.
  • Represent the brand professionally and uphold its premium positioning.
  • Build a team that takes genuine pride in the customer experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong operational ability with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous management experience within a high-volume food and beverage, quick-service restaurant, coffee shop or premium grab-and-go environment.
  • Experience managing complex operational processes, ideally involving separate preparation or back-of-house areas.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to drive sales.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience recruiting, training and developing teams.
  • A hands-on leadership style and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A creative, proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ambition and motivation to progress within a rapidly expanding business.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, commercially hungry and excited by the opportunity to grow with the business.

What's on Offer?

  • £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • Performance-related bonus: A new bonus scheme is currently being developed, with plans to introduce it at the beginning of next year.
  • 40-hour working week.
  • Career progression: Join at site number two, with an ambitious UK expansion roadmap targeting five locations by the second half of 2027.
  • International brand exposure: Become part of a successful global concept originating in Los Angeles.
  • Real ownership: Take responsibility for a flagship regional opening and play a central role in shaping its success.
  • Long-term opportunity: Potential to progress into more senior or multi-site operational roles as the UK business grows.

Why Join?

This is more than a traditional General Manager position.

You'll be joining an established international brand at an early stage of its UK growth journey, following an exceptionally successful Central London launch.

With further openings planned, the business is looking for ambitious individuals who want to make an impact, take ownership and develop alongside the brand.

If you're a hands-on operator who enjoys the energy of a high-volume environment, understands the importance of getting the behind-the-scenes operation right, and has the commercial drive to deliver results, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
