Junior Paraplanner – Birmingham

Salary: Up to £36,000

An established IFA practice with offices in London and the Midlands, providing holistic financial planning and discretionary investment services across private client wealth.

If you are a senior financial planning administrator or early-career paraplanner looking to step up your technical expertise, this role offers structured one-to-one mentoring from a Senior Paraplanner and clear progression into complex case handling.

• Interpret adviser instructions and conduct technical research across platform and investment propositions, deepening your product knowledge across pensions, investments, and estate planning.
• Construct comprehensive suitability reports and client-facing illustrations, sharpening your technical drafting skills and giving you end-to-end ownership of case analysis.
• Utilise cashflow modelling and risk-profiling software on client cases, building practical expertise in modern technical planning tools under senior guidance.
• Collaborate directly with financial advisers to structure bespoke solutions for private clients, expanding your exposure to advisory strategy and complex client scenarios.

• Previous paraplanning or technical administration experience within an IFA or wealth management environment.
• Strong written communication and analytical skills, with practical experience drafting or preparing suitability documentation.
• Familiarity with financial planning back-office systems, research platforms, and cashflow modelling tools.
• Commitment to professional development, with progress towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent preferred.
