This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a positive employee experience, providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, and supporting the organisation's ambitious growth strategy.

Reporting to the Head of People, you will act as the senior escalation point for employee relations matters across the business, managing a varied caseload including complex issues relating to performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance, organisational change and wider people initiatives.

You will work closely with People colleagues and senior stakeholders, providing commercially focused, risk-based advice that balances legal compliance with positive business and employee outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex employee relations cases from end to end, ensuring fair, timely and impartial resolution
  • Providing expert guidance to managers on UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Leading investigations, hearings and mediation processes where required
  • Supporting organisational change activities, including restructures, mergers and TUPE processes
  • Identifying ER trends and using management information to inform proactive interventions and continuous improvement
  • Coaching and developing managers to build capability and confidence in people matters
  • Contributing to wider People projects and strategic initiatives

You will bring:

  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively at all levels
  • Experience supporting organisational change programmes, including restructures and TUPE transfers
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to risk and decision-making
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive matters

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, values-driven organisation that genuinely invests in its people in a supportive and inclusive culture with excellent learning and development opportunities.

Please note, this is an urgent requirement so we are looking for individuals who are available to start at short notice (1 month notice or less). If you are an experienced ER professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a progressive and people-focused organisation, please apply now.
