The Role

We’re looking for a Chartered Electrical Engineer to be the technical anchor of our grid connections, on a flexible part-time basis.

What you’ll do

• Lead G99/G100 applications and DNO coordination (UKPN, NGED and others) from application to commissioning
• Review SLDs, protection settings and EPC designs against UK standards (BS 7671, BS EN 62109)
• Act as technical lead in investor due diligence and DNO technical reviews
• Work with our R&D team to adapt inverter and EMS specifications for the UK market
• Protect grid connection timelines so projects are delivered on time

What you’ll bring

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
• Strong knowledge of G99, G100 and UK distribution networks
• 3–5+ years in solar or BESS project engineering, ideally at 1–10MW scale
• A proactive, hands-on approach and comfort working in an international, cross-cultural team
• Based south of Birmingham, with occasional travel to sites and DNO meetings
