ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Community Partners is delighted to be supporting an established, FTSE listed UK organisation in the appointment of an experienced AI Product Owner.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping, developing and delivering AI-enabled products and services, translating emerging technologies into practical business solutions that improve productivity, operational performance and customer experience.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the full AI product lifecycle, from initial discovery and prioritisation through to development, deployment, adoption and continuous improvement.

Working closely with senior leadership, operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams, you will help identify where Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI and intelligent automation can create meaningful and measurable value.

We are particularly interested in individuals who combine strong product ownership experience with a practical understanding of enterprise AI technologies and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Product Strategy & Leadership

Define and communicate AI product visions, strategic roadmaps, intended outcomes and measurable success criteria.

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products and services, from discovery and development through to launch, adoption, optimisation and retirement.

Identify opportunities where AI, machine learning, intelligent automation and advanced analytics can improve business processes, services and operational efficiency.

Prioritise product development and investment based on business value, user needs, technical feasibility and risk.

Product Discovery & Delivery

Lead discovery activities with business stakeholders and end users to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for AI-enabled solutions.

Translate business requirements into clear product outcomes, user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised delivery backlogs.

Define minimum viable products (MVPs), pilot initiatives and phased implementation plans to support iterative delivery and controlled scaling.

Work collaboratively with software engineers, data specialists, architects, security teams and external delivery partners.

Manage product dependencies, delivery risks, budgets and stakeholder expectations throughout the development lifecycle.

AI, Technology & Innovation

Support the identification and development of practical use cases involving Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI and intelligent automation.

Understand the application of prompts, retrieval approaches, APIs, integrations and data pipelines in enterprise AI solutions.

Collaborate with technical specialists to evaluate AI platforms, models, capabilities and integration requirements.

Ensure AI solutions are designed with appropriate operational support, documentation, version control and ongoing performance monitoring.

Stay informed of emerging AI capabilities and identify opportunities to enhance existing products and services.

Responsible AI & Governance

Embed appropriate governance around data protection, information security, privacy, fairness, transparency and responsible AI use.

Work with technical, legal, risk and governance stakeholders to assess potential risks and ensure appropriate controls are established.

Ensure AI products incorporate suitable human oversight, escalation arrangements and auditability.

Balance innovation and delivery speed with organisational policies, compliance requirements and long-term sustainability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Adoption

Build strong relationships with senior leaders, operational teams, technology specialists and external suppliers.

Communicate AI opportunities, limitations and technical considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Lead product adoption activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training and operational readiness.

Establish performance measures to evaluate user adoption, service improvements, productivity gains and return on investment.

Use data, feedback and measurable outcomes to inform ongoing product improvements and investment decisions.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded AI Product Owner who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery experience.

Essential Experience & Skills

Substantial experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis or technology-enabled business transformation.

Demonstrable experience delivering AI, automation, advanced analytics or data-driven products into live operational environments.

Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models and emerging Agentic AI capabilities.

Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, prioritised backlogs and measurable business outcomes.

Strong knowledge of agile delivery methodologies, iterative development, product discovery and user-centred design.

Practical understanding of AI integration considerations, including APIs, data pipelines, prompts, retrieval approaches and model limitations.

Experience working collaboratively with software engineering, data, architecture, digital and operational teams.

Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, information security, privacy and technology risk.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior business leaders.

Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.

Desirable Experience

Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI or comparable enterprise AI platforms.

Product ownership or agile certifications such as PSPO, CSPO or equivalent practical experience.

Relevant qualifications in technology, business, data, engineering or a related discipline.

Experience managing external technology suppliers, delivery partners or product budgets.

Experience delivering AI-enabled products within large, complex or operationally focused organisations.

Knowledge of the construction or built-environment sector would be advantageous, although experience from other industries is welcomed.
